Don't know the new paints so I am giving suggestions in more general terms.

I'd go with the zenith-style airbrush highlights. Black primer sprayed on first from underneath the model. Then white primer from above. Then, for the uniforms, a thin light coat of beige - or a grey - with the airbrush. Then paint in some shading using for instance a wash mixed with a midtone brown. finally stipple on some white for highlights. From here I would move on the the armour bits, helmets and the like. These parts I would do in a simple basecolour, shade, highlight style. A bit more stylish I suppose. So a weathered, realistic uniform, and more stylized armour and weapons.JRNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09741774098659351155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4903238381133768699.post-6289715699405080492012-09-04T02:01:21.682+02:002012-09-04T02:01:21.682+02:00With you servo skull collector you used an airbrus...With you servo skull collector you used an airbrush to create a zenithal lighting effect. Im currently prepping a khorne based army which will have bloodletters, World eaters Space Marines and Vraksian Renegades (khorne traitor guard kit). I just wondered how you would do the traitor guard in a brown/beige scheme to compliment the reds of the Bloodletters and red Khorne marines. At the moment i am using GW paints (new versions)and would really like to know how you would go about doing them.WayneAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02169445601554138643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4903238381133768699.post-15532167811467299612012-09-03T21:00:07.627+02:002012-09-03T21:00:07.627+02:00Cheers Wayne. I wondered if it was ok to ask a question in relation to this character, airbrushing and some of Forgeworlds models.WayneAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02169445601554138643noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4903238381133768699.post-72509552170398649862012-03-22T19:49:57.803+01:002012-03-22T19:49:57.803+01:00Skeller: It is all about takinig the chance and ju...Skeller: It is all about takinig the chance and jumping right in. It is not a wonder tool, but it gets the paint onto the model fast and very effectively. I am sure that smooth blending with the airbrush takes practice, just like using a normal brush.

izeColt: It's an IWATA revolution CR. The compressor is a IWATA Ninja. I got one late last year and I'm a bit intimidated by it. I was hoping to use it to paint my Necromunda terrain, but I just haven't been able to get started.Wayne Snyderhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15153006605883325735noreply@blogger.com
